Tools and Calculation Methods

Review each tool's inputs, formulas, worked examples, dated assumptions, and limits, including what its results cannot establish.

Each tool states what it calculates, which values it expects, and what it cannot establish. Entered values remain in the browser unless a page explicitly submits them.

Offer, tax, and salary worksheets

Offer comparison separates fixed cash from target variable pay. Tax-regime comparison accepts figures copied from the Income Tax Department calculator and does not calculate an old-regime schedule. Salary evidence comparison uses only amounts entered by the visitor and does not publish a private-sector benchmark.

Gratuity worksheet

The formula illustration uses 15/26 of the stated monthly wage base for each qualifying year and rounds additional service upward only when it exceeds six months. The ordinary continuous-service threshold is five years, with statutory exceptions including death or disablement described in the linked Labour Ministry FAQ. The worksheet shows uncapped arithmetic and a ₹20 lakh ceiling-limited illustration; it does not decide legal eligibility or the applicable wage base.

Cash and decision worksheets

The notice and leave worksheet uses the daily-rate divisor and days entered by the visitor. The runway planner divides stated funds by stated monthly costs and predicts no re-employment date. The home-loan stress test uses standard EMI arithmetic at entered rates and term. The resign-or-stay worksheet displays visitor-entered weighted values and makes no recommendation.

Employer checklist and limits

The employer checklist prompts visitors to verify legal identity, official filings, employment terms, and role details. It creates no company record, rating, financial-health claim, or job-security estimate. These tools are educational worksheets, not tax, payroll, legal, investment, credit, or employment advice.
